It’s Not Luck
The third* in Eliyahu M. Goldratt’s trilogy that starts with The Goal. This book moves more into business management and leadership, carrying forward the story and the characters and their challenges evolve to greater levels. What I like aout this book is the way that it shows the journey we all make as we progress through our careers.
We often feel like up top somewhere is someone who REALLY knows what is going on and how everything should work, and are surprised that we have to keep muddling along figuring it out for ourselves – the truth is, no matter how big the company, or how experienced the leadership may come across, the likelihood is that they are also there trying to figure it out the same way you are. They may have more tools and a greater support network, but the fundamentals are the same.
* The second is Critical Chain, focusing on project management.
