Glory Road

Glory Road

Robert A. Heinlein

This book is just all out fun, and one of my favorites, despite having aged a bit. I love the idea of a whole different reality being almost adjacent to you, but being oblivious to it until one day you are dragged in almost by accident, and the universe is gradually unveiled before your eyes. There is a romantic yet tragic side to this, especially at the end where the protagonist is doubting himself, wondering if he is really trapped on the wrong side of reality, or if it was all in his mind in the first place.

Most of all, I love the upbeat attitude of taking what life throws at you and making the most of it – see my favorite quote on my about-me page. Got any dragons that need slaying?
