Extreme Ironing

Extreme Ironing

Phil Shaw

This book is just the ultimate in silliness. I was given it many years ago, partly because of my interest in extreme sports, and it still makes me laugh out loud.

For those of you not in the know, Extreme Ironing is the sport of taking your iron and ironing board to some extreme or remote spot and ironing some clothes. Points are awarded based on a range of factors, including how extreme the locale is, and how well the garments are ironed. Probably the silliest one in this book was underwater ironing, using scuba gear.

If you don’t feel like splashing out for this book, you can get nearly the same rush by looking at many online sites, like Cool of the Wild, Sad and Useless, or The Fact Site.
